Water on the Colorado Trail

My wife and I and our dog will be starting a 2 week trip on the CT westbound on saturday morning and I am trying to find some beta on what the water supply is like recently for anyone who has been on the first 300 westbound miles (from waterton) recently.

Left alreaday but--
Section 7 and 8 were good. Really good. I don't think we went more than 3 miles without a source. First time on the CT for me ( from the East Coast).
Suprised how much there was above treeline. Locals have told me it has been a wet summer there as well.

My guidebook says there are a few sections in the southern 1/2 of the trail (which is all I'm interested in) that have little dependable water. So I'm taking a Platypus roll-up botle for extra water.

My water containers for the CT:

1. hydration bladder - 3 liters
2. bike bottle - 1 liter
3. Platypus roll-up bottle - 1 liter

That should be enough to get me through a "dry camp" day.

This winter (2010/1011) saw a heavier than normal snowpack in the the Rockies so I may not need the Platypus container but I'll take it just in case.

My water treatment:
1. Steripen Adventurer (for the bike bottle and Platypus roll-up container)
2. Katadyn Micropur chlorine dioxide tablets (for the hydration bladder)
3. small soft plastic funnel and #1 coffee filters for pre-filtering.
