    Default Nanotech "tea bag" filter system

    The developers claim this "Nanotech" filtration system can provide perfectly clean water for less than 1 cent per liter. It seems to have promise as a hiking filter, but I can envision tea bags on the ground around every water source:

    Now we have a problem with Tea bags..... Boston Harbor anyone?

    Personally, this Homemade ultralight one micron backpacking water filteris simpler and more cost efficient.

    For third world applications, I'm a fan of bio-sand filters
