    Default Washington, DC-area folks?

I live in Washington, DC and I'm looking for some folks from the DC, VA, MD area to hike with on weekends this fall and upcoming spring. I'm hoping to do a thru-hike in 2012, but want to keep my mountain legs in some sort of shape until then. Let me know if you're interested and we can talk more about this!

I'm in the DC area too and would love to find some hiking friends! My boyfriend and other friends are far less enthused about hiking than I am

I'd love to get hooked up with some more day/weekend trips. Just had a great overnight trip two weeks back in SNP and am hoping to get at least one more in before the end of the year.

There's a pretty good hiking club in the DC area. I live a little south, in Woodbridge, and do a lot of hiking in the Prince William National Forest.

@ Rocket Jones: what's the name of the DC hiking club you mentioned?

Everyone else, I guess maybe PM me if you'd be seriously interested in getting a group together to head out for a weekend hike this fall/early winter. I didn't make out this past summer and I'm itching to hit a trail!

    Default Hooking Up

I'm just outside of DC as well and would definitely be up for a weekend or overnight hike. Most of my friends are too lazy to join me when I go .

    Northern Virginia Hiking Club

They've got something going every weekend, but they're more a hiking club than a backpacking/camping group.
