    Has it come to this? We need electronics in order to write in the wilderness? A pencil and small notebook worked for me. A pencil is better than a pen becuase your writing won't disappear if you fall in a creek.

    Has it come to this? Belittling someone who wants to chronicle his trip in the way that is easiest and most enjoyable to him, just because someone else doesn't agree with the choice?

    I'll be shipping notebooks back to the caretakers,... Aside from spontaneous napkin writing or the back of a school paper, I only write on my laptop. However, 2,179 miles kind of takes the convenience out of electronics.

    That is how I always write my stories, pen and paper first.....
