Park at Hot Springs, get a shuttle to Davenport Gap, hike north. The outfitter in Hot Springs or Curtis at Standing Bear Farm hostel can shuttle you. Nice three day hike.

I am planning that exact hike October 21-23. Groundhog Creek Shelter the first night, then find a campsite on or near Bluff Mountain the second night and downhill 10 miles into Hot Springs the morning of the 3rd day. Can't wait!
