Default Front Royal north to Duncannon Supply Towns

My nine year old hiking buddy Bear Finder and I are planning out the details of next summer's AT section, F.R. to Duncannon PA. Obviously, Harper's Ferry and Boliver are right in line, but what are the other best resupply towns on that stretch?

Default Front Royal to Duncannon Section

I did this section in 2009 and only re-supplied at Harper's Ferry. The trail passes through Boiling Springs which is an easy re-supply point. There is a general store in Pine Grove Furnace State Park with limited food items. Another option is sending mail drops to hostels along the way. There are one or two in Maryland and Bears Den near the end of the Roller Coaster in Virginia. Good luck and happy hiking! iTrod GA->ME 2010

Harper's Ferry and Boiling Springs make sense, you have to walk through both. Harper's Ferry does not have a grocery store in town. You can take a bus, or taxi, up to Charlestown to shop. Boiling Springs has a small grocery store and a 7/11 type store.
