Default Emerald Nuts Plastic Containers-Amazing water bottles

I have been looking for a lighter weight, wide mouth solution to sub for my Nalgenes or hydration bladder for my trips and was eating the last of some peanuts (Emerald Nuts brand) when I noticed that the bottle was a perfect size (wide mouth for the steripen, probably about 20 something ounces.. haven't measured it yet) and I promptly took of the label and took it backpacking last weekend. It could use something to create a better seal with the lid but unless there is a lot of pressure on it, there will be no major leaking. I was very happy when I realized this and decided I should share.

Nice idea. I have two in the cupboard and will be giving them a try very soon. Thanks.

I experiment alot w/all sorts of containers. That's how I found a Countrytime lemonaid container (the type that holds the small tubs of mix stacked up) to hold my Esbit titanium stove, windscreen, lighter, and about six fuel tabs. Keeps everything from getting crushed and seals up the unpleasant smell.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it'll also hold Ritz crackers without crushing them. Just for what that's worth.

Not wide mouth, but the new Poland Springs water bottles only weigh 0.4 ounces without the label.

Actually, the one I use doesn't have quite the same rounded off top.. it's shaped more like a nalgene cap, just wider. But I'm sure that works just the same =)
