Default Trimming Weight On Tent Poles

I have a Eureka Spitfire 2 that I'm trying to trim the weight on. It came with 9mm poles. I see that Eureka sells a 7.5mm pole replacement/repair kit. Are these easily interchangeable? Does anyone have experience with switching out tent poles to save weight? Thanks!

I don't have any experience with them but have heard good things about their quality.

The Spitfire could be a good candidate for those CF poles as there are no sections that need to bend too much.
But to save about 6oz it will cost you about $120 (maybe more)

I looked for my MSR Hubba Hubba. 9.3 ounces of savings for $173.00.
