Default For those with a mid-March start ....

I have a confirmation with the Hiker Hostel (www.hikerhostel.com) for March 12th. Anyone else staying there that night?

I have a reservation for the night of the 13th. I guess I'll be a day behind you. I will be looking for tilted turtles though.

Yes, if you happen to see me laying on my back, please just roll me back onto my feet!

The Hiker Hostel is great. Friendly hosts, good food, and time spent with starting thru-hikers. Enjoy it.

It'll be a full house. Anyone who has their starting dates nailed need to make their reservations.

Hiker Hostel is the only place on the AT where all the hikers smell good. Several days later....different story!

For sure. I know I emailed them about 6 weeks ago asking if they were taking reservations yet, and they said 'yes'. So I agree, I wouldn't hold off - they've been taking names for a couple of months already.

I emailed them yesterday asking about the week of the 13th-19th. There's still room available for all those days. I just booked mine for the 13th. Looks like I'll be a day after you, just like wally!

Well, we'll no doubt cross paths. I'm not sure if I'm doing the approach trail or not (depends on whether or not any one else is being dropped there - I'm not going to ask them to make the trip just for me) - but if I do, and you don't - we'll probably meet at the first nights shelter! Dress warm!

I was there with a full house last March 12th, and started my hike on the 13th after an exciting ride up to Springer. Josh was the only person crazy enough to drive hikers up when the warnings were to stay off the mountain. It was a great day!

I have put in the request for the 15th of March. Plane was booked a few weeks ago. Just got to make sure I get the house ready to sell before I leave.
