    I think it's interesting to look at the time differences between men and women in the marathons. On one hand the time difference seems almost insignificant, yet on the other hand it seems like such an insurmountable obstacle for the women.

    Also notice that the time differences for the women cover a far greater span of time as opposed to the men. The time difference between the #1 man and the last man is just over 4-1/2 minutes. As opposed to the women they exceed that time difference well within the top 20.
