Default what if a solar flair caused planetwide memorywipe?

if suddenly none of our inventions and possesions made sence to anyone?if instinct and our good or bad nature was all that was left.if food clothing shelter and reproduction were our only concerns. if we starred at white blazes and wondered . if the kennedy space center was a mystery to us who built it and why. if writing seemed meaningless? would their still be language?no. and if not, what would we be grunting about?just wondering.

Wouldn't a solar flare wipe out every organism on Earth?
Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, and as vital to our lives as water and good bread.

Solar flares happen all the time* and all they do is make pretty lights in the sky. A really big solar flare can also cause black outs by overloading the electrical grid, but they got that pretty well fixed these days. They can also disrupt sattelite communications for awhile and even fry a sattelite on occasion.

There are indications that the earths magnetic field is slowly weaking, which historically indicates the beginning of a pole flip (magnetic north will become south) and during the period of a weak or missing magnetic field around the earth will allow solar and cosmic radiation to strike the earth much more strongly then "normal" and that can lead to genetic mutations and the next evolutionary step for man and other life forms. (if you belive in such things, otherwise its just God messing with us).

Now if a big old hunk of rock should fall out of the sky, that's a different story and we'd all be lucky to live through that...

    * (well, not so much lately as the sun has been unusually quiet for the last 15 or more years and that has gotten some people worried, as the last time the sun was this quiet we had a mini ice age, which interestingly enough may have led to the spread of Islam, so be greatfull for global warming).

So ends our science lession for the day.

Scary stuff. After all we're just a big ball of dirt floating through the universe.

If there was no language, grunting would equal and be the opposite of farting. Wow, I think I just blew my mind!

The only organisms that would survived, would be the ones that Bob Peoples permits to live.

Still about a dozen pieces of flair short.

Yer kidding, bolding part of the tags renders them unusable?

Solar flare. Spellcheck does no good because flair and flare are both words.
