I'm doing the happy dance for you! No pictures though. That's a good thing, believe me.

if any of you had any sence at all you will have listened to mountain stage tonight and know full well whos birthday this is and how prosephetic that is. i call the prose poet in question, the godmother of prose.and one of my heros. write a poem/prose for kristin. i belive thats the thing to do.

their was a woman at the gathering who fell over alot
    others fell just for her
to see if they could do it as gracefully
rolling and falling cant be the same
some are gracefull some are lame

its good to fall for fun and games
gracefull rolling is sorta the same
if it happens to you come hear and listen
the sound of wind and after theyved risin

all standing with their burdens needed
    that they may hike
    where trails are seeded

if you hear this sound youll ask
    hows that done?
    such a mighty task?

and this youll hear a one reply
the answer my loves , is in the sky.

Just wanted to say I'm reading... I may not respond to everything because my eyes are often tired and I'm having vision issues in one eye (no worries, it will heal on its own).

Also, for those of you that may be unaware:

I am receiving SO MANY blood transfusions. So, for Christmas, I'm suggesting that everyone donate blood if they can. It's likely I won't get to return the favor due to receiving chemotherapy.

If it had not been for the people did their best to donate all of this blood, I wouldn't be here.

    Also, kiss your loved ones.

Donating blood has become a huge issue lately, even moreso than it was just a few years ago. Due to concerns about Mad Cow, anyone who lived in Europe during the 80's (i.e. military and dependents) are now ineligible to donate. The available pool of doners in the US took a big hit.

If you can give, please do.

I donate blood every 2 month cycle so this week is the time for me to donate again.

Never underestimate just how valuable the act of giving blood is. It saves lives every day.

I started hiking the AT many years ago and have always been in awe at the family sense you get from the AT community, this is simply another example. Me, my wife and daughters wish you the very best. God bless you and your family and Merry Christmas!
