Thread: Amicalola Falls

    Default Amicalola Falls

This year for my section hike (Amicalola – Damascus), I plan to stop and see the Falls. I got a map of the approach trail from the Amicalola Falls SP website. However, it’s not a very good depiction.

Question for anyone familiar with Amicalola Falls State Park:

Would it be best to take the side trail to the Falls from the approach trail?

    or

Take the trail that shoots off to the left from the beginning of the approach trail, which seems to go to the Falls and back to the approach trail?

Myself, I started at the Visitor Center, went up the trail/stairs along side the falls, walked across the road/parking lot at the top of the falls, and then picked up the approach trail.
