Default If you could have a limitless supply of any one food on the trail, what would it be?

You just say a word and think a quantity and it poofs into existence magically in front of you (no need to carry it, doesn't attract bears when unbidden, etc).

Let's assume the decision is final and you'll retain this exact ability for the rest of your life (only on the trail though! And the food cannot be bartered, given, or sold). Also, the food can be in any cooked state, but it has to be kept simple (magic food-delivering genies don't like complex things). Things like sandwiches and plain salads are ok, but turduckens with every veggie in existence are not. Or, if you absolutely must have something like that, you can't just wish the uneaten parts away and must be a good little leave-no-tracer and pack out what you don't consume.

I would want either raspberries or grilled freshly caught salmon. It's doubtful I'll ever tire of either and they're both on the harder end to obtain while hiking in most areas.

Eggs!!!! I love me some eggs. You haven't lived untill you've carried an egg up a mountain just so you can fry it on a rock in a fire.

Actually, I'll go with eggs, bacon, and cheese on an english muffin. That way I get my egg and some more food groups in there

For cold weather, it's Cookerhiker's 4 food groups - black coffee, wine, cheese, and dark chocolate.

Warm weather, I'll go with Maryland-style crab cakes with a microbrew and maple-walnut ice cream for dessert.

I'm fine with Ramen every meal, just I wish I could have someone to wash out my pot and clean my stove.

I work for Mckee (owners of Little Debbies). Limitless supply all day long. But I have to exercise restraint daily!

Whole milk yogurt. Or the Greek kind that has like 17g of fat per 6 oz. With berries.

Doesn't matter what it is, if you eat the same thing day after day after day, you will grow tired of it and not want to look at it ever again.

Any amber ale or stout at lunch, red wine at dinner, 18 yo scotch after dinner. I'll worry about the food, just have the beverages ready!

You do get tired of the same thing day after day......went to Chile and Argentina loving ham and cheese....came back nauseated at the sight of it. Every freaking day.......when the returning airline set a ham and cheese omelet in front of me, I cried. One of our trek mates on the plane said he expected to hear blood curdling screams at the sight of it! 5 years later I can face it again.
