    Talking Appalachian Trail Signs

Just to let everyone know that I now sell AT and Pacific Crest Trail signs on Ebay. Just search Appalachina Trail signs. I have new ones on there all the time, or if you have any suggestions let me know. Thanks

where do you get the signs from?

From the trail? I hope not!

The Randolph Mt Club auctions off thier old signs as they are replaced to rise money. The weather beaten ones from above tree line get the most money.

can you make a replica of the "fullhardt knob" sign? i think those would sell pretty well.

I got a sign from a silent action at the GATC club. I love it!
I just wish I had had enough money to get the "privy" sign!

I got the idea to make signs because here in Tennessee people are stealing the old ones and they are being replaced with ugly stamped metal signs. If I sell them maybe people wouldn't steal them.

maybe somebody should see if he has a sign for the Standing Indian shelter. not that there's anything wrong with the hand painted, sheet metal, decal festooned, current sign...

There was once a time when advertising selling a commercial product - as opposed to used gear - was discouraged here on WhiteBlaze. Has that time passed?

Favorite AT signs were "Chunky Girl Trail", "Big Butt Mountain" and "Swinging Dick Gap". The White Mountain and Moosilauke warning signs were a hoot, too.

I thought the sign read "Swinging Lick Gap".

You should offer your services to the TEHCC. I am sure they would welcome your handiwork. Unfortunately, there are too many idiots out there that destroy beautiful signs like yours. I restored an Iron Mountain Gap sign made by Clyde Smith for who the shelter is named and is is now in the AT Museum.

Lol, it used to, but somebody had carved the L into a D when I went through there about a month ago.
