    Actually that was Jesus in the wilderness. And my father-in-law has done it, not the hike but the fast.

    Actually, Matty's right .. Exodus 24:18,28 & Deuteronomy 9:9. Forty days burning 4900 calories per day .. 56 pounds of "fuel" consumed .. I'd be back to my weight in high school.

    My understanding was he didn't BRING any food, but it didnt say anything about him not eating at all though. He probably foraged the whole way.
