    Default Southern PA Trailhead

    Looking to do a section hike from Southern Pa to Harpers Ferry. Any suggestions for the best place to start out from. Going to be be hiking for about 10 days. Thanks.

    Boiling Springs , PA. 10 miles a day clip if you're for a leisure hike.
    Getting lost is a way to find yourself.

    I'd start at Duncannon. You need only average 12 miles per day and PA is fairly easy. Duncannon is a better choice for transportation options.

    I second Cookerhiker, although johnnybgood's advice is good too. The trail in PA, from Duncannon south is the best part of the state as far as nice trail goes. Anything north of Duncannon is going to be rocky.
