    Default Info on hiker lodging places for sale

    We have a friend we thru hiked with that doesn't have internet,he asked me to ask you all for info on any hiker lodging places for sale. Especially info on Caratunk house.Thanks

    There are two places for sale in Gorham NH that cater to hikers, The "barn" which is located adjacent to a restored victorian inn and Hiker Paradise which has some adjacent cabins. The Barn has been bought and sold once or twice in the last few years, HP has been the same owner for many years but as some hikers have noted, the owner has lost interest in servicing hikers (although they are still welcome).

    Last fall there was talk that The Mayors House was for sale in Unionville, NY. I have an old phone # if your friend is interested.

    There was also a rumor that Dawn at Shaw's in Monson was thinking about selling.
