Default Pizza delivered to Pen-Mar park?

During my 2008 thru-hike, I remember hearing that you can call a pizza place from the ranger station at Pen-Mar, and they'll deliver pizza right to the park. I wanted to try it, but got to the park before the pizza place was open, so didn't get to test the theory. Has this worked out for anyone?

Yupper! As of last year anyway. I'm hoping to head that way in April and will be trying to time my lunch break there.

Awesome! The Handbook doesn't say anything about it and I really do want to score some extra calories there.

There's also a pizza place about 1/3 mile from Caledonia. Don't know if they deliver, but they're close enough to walk, and a small grocery is next door.

I've had that pizza at Pen mar! It was SO DELICIOUS. One of my hiking partners walked right past it earlier than us, not realizing there was pizza available.

And I've had food at the Caledonia State Park-not quite as good, but decent as I remember.

    Yay for so much pizza!

Anyone got the number or name of the pizza place next to Caledonia?

If headed NOBO, is it 1/3 mile left or right? (Very important!)

Going nobo, it is to your left, just under a half a mile. As I remember it, the groceries are farther on by another half mile to mile. I don't remember the name, but it's the first place you really run into. Road's busy though, so stay safe and careful.

10 miles earlier (NOBO) you can have pizza (mexican too) delivered either to Free State Hiker Hostel or to the road crossing (Md. 17/Wolfsville Road).

I ordered a pizza from the phone in the swimming pool office and had it delivered to the park entrance from this place.
