    Time and effort.

    Take a picture, take a few steps, another picture, ect. I'm guessing there are 15-30 pictures per 'scene' in the clip. More for some of the longer ones etc. As for putting it together in a movie, I think windows movie maker could do it, but there are other pieces of software, possibly better, as well.

    Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed watching/sharing this video with my GF. We're getting so stoked for this years thru and this video didn't help.

    You can actually do this through Windows Movie Maker. Get a camera with video capabilities and do several videos, splice them together and form a short video of the entire trip. No need to take "still" pictures, here and there...Easy..

    Just saw this, very awesome. Saw the Guillotine in Central Va and some other identifiable spots on first viewing, fun to watch and try to ID the location as it flashes by.

    24 pictures per segment, one segment per day.
    I hiked with Fester in Vermont for a short way in 05.
