Any recent sightings of Loner Boner? I hiked with him for about two weeks earlier this season.

The early thru's are passing through Connecticut now. Saw Berky (sp?, for Berkshires), from Great Barrington, Mass, of all places, at Lion's Head and at Riga camping area yesterday. He expects to roll into home today for some nice zeroes, then back out at it. He's keeping a private journal, nothing online - has covered 2/3 of the trail since 3/16. Told me there are a few ahead of him, but not too many.

Saw several long distance sectioners, too, couple of college age guys doing the New England section for the summer and few 20-somethings from Pennsylvania doing the northern half of the trail.

PS: One of the Pennsy gang had the trail name "Hop." He was the first I met - fastest of the group. The other two had monosyllabic trail names, but I forgot them. ...

Shaky and Gobbler were through the Cumberland Valley this afternoon, along with three others whose names I can't remember (one a section hiker, the other 2 thrus).

Gobbler is doing a supported "run" of the trail, but is not attempting to set any record.

I met up with my sister Kiddo and her hiking buddies Tide Walker and Stephen (formerly Bam). We saw Mayo and Tom heading north from the Peters Mountain Shelter on June 11th. We saw Photon, Hazard, John Wayne, Arrow, Whoop, and Sherpa hiking north from Duncannon that same day. We saw Pippy and several other hikers whose names we didn't catch at the Allenberry Resort in Boiling Springs on the night of June 9th.

Met Herb and Spice, two thrus from Ann Arbor, Mich, camping at Race Brook as I passed by on the Race Brook Falls Trail this past Friday 6/10. Nice folk - they were excited to hear from me about how neat the falls are and were gonna hit them the next morning.
