    Default Mammut S-Lite Headlamp

Has anybody tried the Mammut S-Lite Headlamp? It uses 1-AA battery and has 3 LED bulbs. It weighs in at 48 g. with batteries (1.693 oz.) and only 20 bucks. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it?

I just recently picked up one of these. Took it out last weekend. Liked the size and weight. Nice bright light too. Tight battery compartment. No regrets spending the $ to get one of these.

Thanks Deucalion. I wondered about the illumination. Sounds like it is not an issue.

You could easily follow a trail with this light. Plenty bright enough.

I just purchased the S-Flex and the spot is VERY bright on the high setting and adequate on the medium. You could easily walk a trail at night with it. The second setting is two small red leds. It is approximately 1.6oz with batteries on my scale.
