so i know people have experienced far worse in life so i hope i don't sound like a cry baby but 5 days before the start of our thru hike i get horrible abdominal pains and bleeding and remember a decade ago when i was hospitalized with the exact same thing in ICU for 4 days. Long recovery back from that weakness. Now, although not as severe, I have to sit here and await blood test results to come back... and if my counts are low then tests will resume. If they are good, then i'm free to go about my hike as scheduled...
So if you are a praying soul, i would appreciate yours more than you will ever know.

Our bodies have their own ways of telling us what we need to know--we are just too distracted to listen sometimes and they have to talk loud to get our attention.
