public transport to closest entrance to AT

I live in Southern New Jersey (Millville) and was wondering if anyone knows how to take public transportation to the closest entrance to the AT which would probably be in Maryland. I'm planning on hitting it in a couple of months from now and heading south. Also are ther any other trails at the end in Georgia that one can take down thru the west side of Florida?

If you can get yourself to Philadelphia, you have 2 choices:

1. AMTRAK to DC and either AMTRAK or the MARC commuter trains to Harpers Ferry.

2. AMTRAK to Harrisburg, call Trail Angel Mary for a pickup to Duncannon.

You can do an internet search on Yahoo or Google for AMTRAK and MARC timetables.
