Default Gear other than Big Four

Other than tent, pad, bag, and pack, what would you recomend a SoBo (if it matters) hiker bring along? Feel free to recomend any clothing, but I'm looking for more in the way of misc items. Knife, flashlight, first aid kit, etc.

    Question is strange...
Honestly the misc items you mention are necessary to any hike. For instance, why would you ever go without a first aid kit? Or a headlamp ? ??

    ..........yes
The trouble I have with campfires are the folks that carry a bottle in one hand and a Bible in the other.
You never know which one is talking.

For a SOBO, take a Mosquito head net, and some Deet. A 3 season pack list should be fine, if you are leaving in June or July.
