Geat news! Now that they got the date right, maybe we can start working on the "talent" portion.

Actually, this is very good news; this has always been one of the weekend's most popular events, and it makes much more sense to hold it when people are still in town.

Good to see that the folks planning this year's events are using their heads and are open to good suggestions.

    YES!

I talked with the town planners and the ATC this past year and discussed the whole 'trying to keep people in town one extra day' thing.

I told them most hikers by that time were ready to get out of town, they had spent all the money they want to spend, and the majority of the people are still there, and still interested on Saturday afrernoon.

    This is great news.

Packrat and I won first place last year, maybe we should write a new song.

    It's about freakin' time.

The last talent show I saw was 2002, when the Barefoot Sisters sang their song. I'm glad the TD planners finally saw the light.

That was 2001. Unless they repeated the next year.

Hopefully this year will be my first year at Trail Days. What all goes on other than this talent show and parade? I am looking forward to being there and meeting people, but would also love some more information.

    Default 1999 SOBOs

At the 2000 talent show, a group of about 30 SOBOs from '99 sang a song about "Walking Along".

It was very pretty. Does anyone know anyone who might tell me how to find the words/chords to that? Does anyone even remember it?

After conferring with my associates (the aforementioned wimmin), I must concede that it was 2001. My mistake.

Ah The Talent show. Maybe I'll do some of my "Presidential" impressions. I think I'll do Carter,Reagan,Bush SR and JR and Bill Clinton going up the approach trail. Don't worry LW I'll bust on Clinton and Carter just as much as the Bush's. I'm an equal opportunity satirist when it comes to the politcos.l've already developed some material ,this should be good. Perhaps I could throw in Kerry and Gore for good measure.

Does anyone remember the guy from '98 that did Georgia Love Song?
