    so im ch. surfing on my sattelite and come across trail angels on a ch. called DOC 197 on dish. says its about the heroes who help hikers of the appalachian trail

    Just finished watching it. Great show highlights a number of amazing contributors who make the trail what it is.

    It's nice when you find water left in a dry section or a ride, etc. But "Heroes"? [And I thought the word was incredibly overused before reading this.] Heroes are folks that, through great risk to themselves, save other people's lives or perform other deeds that prevent some catastrophe from occuring. Leaving water jugs, hiker feeds, offering rides or lodging, etc. doesn't rise to the level of being a "Hero."
