Wondering if anyone has used these, what their impression has been, what color do you use for hiking, and about how to break them in?

Upon receiving any shoes to be used for hiking, I immediately remove and discard the foam inserts and replace them with green Superfeet. They have always worked very well for me.
Ditto - great green better stuff!
Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.
Woo
There was no break-in period with my green super feet. My feet simply became happy.

These have helped with Plantar Fasciitis Pain. I will never go without them again. Green Super Feet
Green Super feet for me too, I have one pair in my boots and another pair for kicking around trail shoes. I did have an adjustment period though, seemed to use front muscles of my legs, but after that, miss em if you ain't got em.
green superfeet
start at 2 hours a day and progress as tolerated within two weeks your feet will be happy.
Lead, Follow, or get out of the way. I'm goin hikin.
Green Superfeet for me. I wear them daily. Some people find them intolerable, I hear.

waste of money. too expensive.
When the Orange Superfeet first came out, they were totally effective for relieving the numbness and sharp burning pain that I sometimes feel in my toes/ball of foot. These were the ones with both arch support and a metatarsal bump. Now they have changed the orange superfeet to eliminate the metatarsal bump because their designers decided they could sell more of them without this feature (their reason in the email I received from their customer service, who also said they were receiving a lot of complaints like mine about the re-design) The current Orange Superfeet are the same as the Green, but have a thick pad under the metatarsals and toes, which for me, cause my shoes to not fit. The Green work ok for arch support, but does not solve the numbness/pain problem.
I'm back in the market for something that works, may end up going to a podiatrist. Shame they want to make everything so generic, that they no longer actually work.
if i were home i'd check to see if mine are orange or green... whatever they are, i love them --BUT i was told that only the (green? orange?) superfeet were specific to a man's foot width. when i used the (green?orange?) ones earlier, the ridge at the edge of the heel cup was too narrow for my feet and gave me blisters. I'd check to see if there is a heel width difference between the green and orange before i bought a pair -- and i would buy the color superfeet with the wider heel cup. anybody else have this experience? sorry for being so imprecise!

actually, when people evaluate foot bed inserts it would help to know what they wear for footwear, how far they typically walk in a day, how much they carry and how heavy they are. Me -- trailrunners (Brooks cascadia...) 20 miles daily average, 10 to 20 pound pack, 140 pounds. and i do love superfeet!

I pulled the factory insoles out of my Asolos about two months after purchase and replaced them with green Superfeet. The original insoles were pretty bad. Superfeet had a ~2 week break in period, but now they are great.
Mine started out orange, but now they're green. Just kidding. I actually use Dr. Scholl's Gel Sport Replacement Insoles in my Asics 2150 running shoes and run about 12 - 15 miles a week on paved surfaces. They're good. I have no experience with Superfeet other than I didn't want to pay the higher price. The Dr. Scholl's are about a third of the cost. I also use them in my Asics Trail Runners.
Shoe/Boot inserts should be selected based on "volume fit" regardless. They fine tune your shoes/boots.
Remember too, the biggest mistake people make when selecting SuperFeet are picking them based on shoe size alone- Wrong!
Proper fit involves making sure your heel fits totally within the inserts heel cup. If your heel overlaps the edges of the insert, try the next size up! You'd be amazed how many people don't think to take that into account.
To check it, just lay the insert on the floor, put your foot on it, stand up, and check the fit around your heel. You should be able to tell immediately if they're sized right.

Orange Super Feet. When I first got them, they were highly recommended, so I gave it an honest effort. Until they really broke in, they were O.K. at best. There was some discomfort, but still better than my regular boots. Once they broke in... wow... just wow. I won't ever hike again without some kind of super feet in my shoes/boots.
Nike insole suck, cause feet to get bruised, tossed them out. Used $300 custom orthotics, caused knee pain after 2 hours. Switched to green Superfeet, all is great! Enough said.
I used green for a while, in about three pairs of running shoes (~1200 miles) in a little under a year, and liked them, and then took a suggestion to switch to orange for my most recent pair and liked those even better. They have a little extra squoosh under the forefoot that feels oddly spongy during the break-in period but smooths out into a very nice ride.
