    Default NY Section Hike question

Planning a section hike in NY for a long weekend. Looking to start at Peekskill or Graymore Spiritual Center and walk to Stormville. Can anyone give advice about parking in these areas? We have 2 cars and are hoping to avoid shuttling by parking right at the trailheads. Thanks in advance!

    You can park at Graymoor.
From the intersection of routes 9 and 403 go north on 9.
Make a right onto Old West Point Road. It's the second right after 9+403.
At the top of the hill make a right onto Franciscan Way. Before you get to the building on the right turn left and park, head or tail in, on the grass on your left. Pull in so your vehicle is totally off the pavement. At that point you're in the AT corridor. The trail crosses Franciscan Way just past the building.

I don't know about in Southfields, but there's Elk Pen parking lot just east of route 17 on Arden Valley Road, in Harriman State Park. Going NOBO on the AT the trail comes down Agony Grind, crosses route 17, and goes east (NOBO) on Arden Valley Road for maybe 3/8 of a mile. The parking lot is right there on Arden Valley Road.

County Road 20/Dover Road has room for a few cars just north of Stormville (Morgan Stewart Shelter). I believe it is about 3 miles from Pawling.

I personally found the hike North from the Hudson River pretty boring for the 1st 25 miles or so.........after the RPH shelter was nicer for me.
