Default I'm some kind of WB addict!

Ever since I found this site, I have been reading and posting like a crazy woman. It is too hot during the day to be outside so I sit here and dream about my future thruhike. I am hoping that I am not the only one who does this.

I have an indoor bike machine thingy that I use, but no hiking in this heat. So I'll just keep reading and posting!

Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

I keep it on my desktop at work. The bickering is highly addictive, as well as entertaining. IMHO there are far too many IMHOs.
    also, ive learned a lot.

Yeah, we noticed! It sure can be addictive. I have WB up at work a lot. Don't tell anybody. It beats dealing with office politics. I'm with you on the heat. What is this 40+ days of over 100, I'm heading to Colorado on Saturday. Hope to bring some cool weather back with me.

WB increased my confidence level on my first hike immeasurably. I avoided many mistakes just by sitting here searching and reading. Now that I no longer feel like a novice, I use all these varied opinions to fine tune my plans, my gear and my trips. It's an amazing, addictive resource.

Hey, has anybody noticed the ages of all of us that are posting to this? Only 2 are other than 50 something. I wonder what that tells us? Is there a Dr in the house???????

It's a nasty habit I'm trying to break myself of, or at least cut back on the amount of time I allow myself to indulge. Laundry piles up house gets dusty!
I find it's not just reading posts on here, but reading books also. My husband hates it when I read. His addiction is flipping through the TV channels.

Generally, the young 'uns view bulletin boards as passé technology.

Glad to have you at WB!

Hope to run into you on the trail someday!

We are smart enough to be inside in the AC and out of the heat. Let the crazy kids go "enjoy" hiking in the heat. I have you beat, I'm 64!

That would be interesting, after posting and reading WB for awhile and actually running into these people on the trail.
