    Default Lance Creek

Anyone been to Lance Creek in Georgia? Its about five miles north of Blood Mountain and I just thought it was a cool place.

good campsite. They are doing some re-veg in the area so be mindful of the changes!

Enjoyed a night there last march during a section hike from Neels gap to Amacolola falls. Very nice camp site and the creek was flowing close by with plently of water.

Lance Creek is actually south on the trail from Blood Mountain. The old camping area right on the creek has been closed off and filled with rocks and other obstructions. The GATC has built about 5 tent pads down an old roadbed above the creek. Still a good place to camp and a very reliable water source.

A very nice camp site with dirt tent platforms and good water supply from the Creek. I camped there in May 2011 with some people from Florida and a guy from New Zealand.
