    Default Beretta .22 calibur short

I always carry a pistol when hiking and my gun of choice is the beretta. Of course as we all know hiking with a friend or as a last resort an in law just in case something happens. Recently on a trip with my brother in law we encountered a huge brown bear and had I not had my .22 caliber beretta I would have been in big trouble. But as luck would have it one shot to my brother in laws knee cap and I escaped without breaking a sweat. Berreta .22 in short is my gun of choice for hiking!

How long have you been shooting .22 short in your Beretta? Just the one round in the tip-up tube? I wouldn't think there would be enough recoil to cycle the action. [But of course, you were telling a joke. You probably don't own a Bobcat.]

Dispatcher: "911 What is your emergency?"

Hunter very excited: "My buddy fell out of his tree stand and I think he's dead"

Dispatcher: "Calm down sir, Calm Down, first we have to make sure he's dead" Silence followed by "BANG BANG"

    Hunter: "Now What?"

I wouldn't have thought that .22 short could get through a knee cap

If you use solid point bullets, there is no "blown" exit..looks like a bear bite..

Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

But now you can't hike any more, unless you have more in-laws.
