    Default DWG Kirkridge Shelter water?

Does anyone know if the water spigot at Kirkridge Shelter (SoBo from Delaware Water Gap) is still on? I know they often shut it off in late November but I was hoping that since it has been so warm, it might still be on...

On May 1st when I visited the spigot was off. Also there are no other water sources nearby. Happy hiking!

When I sectioned that area in 2006 the spigot was not turned on yet. I was coming SOBO from DWG and was out of water when I reached Kirkridge. I was panicking. A local lady happened to be day hiking and was at the shelter at the time. She told me to proceed southbound to Fox Gap PA191, turn left, go about 1 mile down hill, make the first left turn, go another quarter mile and a stream would be crossing the road. I did it. It took about an hour but I had water and was able to proceed southbound on my section hike.

There is another option. the church/group building right behind the shelter. there is usually someone there and if you pulled in late before the spigot was on, you could try them.
.....Someday, like many others who joined WB in the early years, I may dry up and dissapear....

There was no one there at any of those buildings on May 1st. They also have a sign up that said essentially respect that this is private property. You can walk down their long driveway and make a left on 191 as mikec suggests and look for water. My only point is I wouldn't count on that spigot being on and it's too bad because there is no other water source nearby. Just an FYI.

The ATC's trail update page says as of 4/16/2014 the pipe leading to the spigot was broken. No mention of when or if it will be repaired.
