Wife bought me the LL Bean Microlight 2P tent. I sold all of my hammock gear last year and finally I get a new tent. Now I can take my 4 year old son camping. Merry Xmas everyone.

I got a K20 Singer sewing machine that was made around 1970, new in the box. It is a reproduction made in Turkey of the Model 20 child's hand cranked sewing machine made in the '20s.

Kindle. My son says its supposed to be able to go a month between charges. It's lighter than a single paperback book. And smaller.

I got the Harmony House Kit (dehydrated veggies) and a Petzl Tikka2+ headlamp (which is disturbingly heavier than my old light). Also a map book of Shenandoah NP hikes.

    Everyone's first question:
"Wow - How tall are you?"
    Answer: "I'm 6'6""
    Ergo, my trail name: 'Six-Six'

I got another copy of A Walk in the Woods (this makes number 6 from family members) from my aunt. When she asked my mom what I wanted my mom told her anything hiking related. This must be the default book for non-hikers to give. So now I have 6 books signed by relatives thru the years. On the bright side, inside the book was a $50 gift card to REI.
