I see from the FT map there are two food stores at lake kerr. How big are they? 7-11 style or more?

The 88 store is the size of a small convience store, along with a pub. Not sure of the other store.
Perhaps you mean the BBQ place?
There is a convenience/gas store, and also a very small Salt Springs Grocery that carries some basic supplies for the nearby National Forest's Salt Springs Recreation Area. The campground is mostly RV's in the winter.
The 88 store is hiker friendly and will let you camp there with permission and small fee, they had showers not sure if they still do. The BBQ place next door had weekend music.
Go closer to "town" (the intersection of SR 19 and CR 316, there is no real town) and there are a few small restaurants.
The trouble I have with campfires are the folks that carry a bottle in one hand and a Bible in the other.
You never know which one is talking.
thanks guys - great info. I think I'm gonna like it.
Did you get a chance to check out the little Salt Springs Grocery? Wondering what they carry these days. Use to be a little bit larger.

no, I didn't - too far out of the way. 88store is a joke. I think they just keep a few things as some kind sham thing to qualify to sell beer. I do think one hiker could probably find enough in there to get to Paisley. The paisley store looked pretty good.
88 store will hold a resupply box for you.

The Salt Springs Grocery has alot. But the Buck and Bass at the square, across the street has stuff for hikers.
