iBooks about Hiking The Appalachian Trail?

There does not appear to be much of a selection of AT books on the iBook Store for iOS.
Did not see most of the books about the Appalachian Trail:

Awol, Skywalker, Barefoot sisters, Becoming Odyssa,The Things you find on the Appalachian Trail, Three hundred Zeroes.

I know there I a Kindle App. That seems like a pain in the butt to use on my iPhone??

Any idea on using your iPhone to read popular titles not found in iBooks Store?

Is there a way to get David Millers The AT Guide on the iPhone? Purchased his 2012 paper version. Would like to get a copy for iPhone.

Awol's book is available through Kindle. Just finished reading it and it was very good. I use the Kindle app on my iPad all the time and prefer it to the native Apple ebook reader.
