Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

I'm wary around scouts, because kids at that age can really go wild if they are not supervised. Burning everything in sight, chopping up live trees, harassing wildlife, yelling and screaming all night, you name it. I only say that because I remember a few regrettable camping experiences during my own Scout years when the leaders let us go camping by ourselves. Pretty bad idea.
Yet, I had cousins that had a superior scouting experience all the way to Eagle Scout.
Depends on the troop, and the leaders mostly.
The trouble I have with campfires are the folks that carry a bottle in one hand and a Bible in the other.
You never know which one is talking.

I admire those who are able to live up to a moral (right/wrong) concept that is stricter than my own.
We need more folks like that.
Most of my friends think that I'm too tolerant because I try to see things from the other person's point of view. I have learned a LOT about myself that way (sometimes being too tolerant of people who might be wrong is my downfall).

As I live, declares the Lord God, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn back from his way and live. Ezekiel 33:11
Sadder than hobosexual?
I'm not really a hiker, I just play one on White Blaze.
Sorry folks, I asked nicely, twice, to keep in on point. Shutting this down.
Don't take anything I say seriously... I certainly don't.
