    Default I am just curious

I have been wanting to ask about this for a long time. At the bottom of the home page where it states the number of online visitors it says, (Most users ever online was 1,419, 07-08-2009 at 20:30.) I have have curious as to what was being discussed at the time that brought so many to WB. Anybody know?

Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

Nothing eventful even the second time of doing an advanced search - ....

I did a search as well and didn't see anything stand out either. That was a Wednesday night, so maybe there was a lot of hikers planning a big weekend trip.

I think it likely that people were arguing on whether Lone Wolf really uses his food bag for a pillow!
Or it could have been the obvious fad and plecebo effects of trekking poles!

I assume the majority of those were search engine spiders and not actual guests.

It was a discussion on internal vs. external frame packs or tents vs. hammocks or hanging food vs. sleeping with food.

It could have been a discussion about what is Trail Magic.

From June 18 until June 24, 2009, the whereabouts of Governor Sanford of South Carolina were unknown to the public, including his wife and State Law Enforcement Division.
On June 22 his staff came up with the "he's hiking the Appalachian Trail" story. I imagine by July 8th that a lot of people were searching "Appalachian Trail" the web, and that White Blaze was popping up more and more as it was checked out. With that date being the peak.
The trouble I have with campfires are the folks that carry a bottle in one hand and a Bible in the other.
You never know which one is talking.

Depends on how you cut it.

I've heard that there's no such thing.

I guess it's true with that sign and all.......
