How old will you be at the end of your 2012 Thru-Hike?
Wow - the 60's and up crowd isn't hanging out here, apparently. I'm hiking the year of my 60th birthday, but I hope to summit before it - a week before Katahdin closes.

I'm up but can't see the keyboard before my second cup of coffee. Hopefully will still be 65 when I finish but I'm so slow it's hard to tell.

Hope to finish next year before I turn 65. Hiking GA & NC in late May and my hiking partner is 81 and still does a full day. Last year we did most of PA, MA, & VT.
I'll be 26 somewhere around Damascus
40 possibly in or nearby BEAR MOUNTAIN, NY at that time
As long as I finish before December I'll still be 38.

I think that is a terrific idea. My 45th birthday is September 6th and I plan to summit Katahdin that day... I look forward to meeting you on the Trail!

We'll have to figure out a way to get a cake and candles up to the terminus. that would make for a great picture and party. We can split the difference and summit on Sep 8th. Look forward to sharing the adventure with you all too.
