I did not know about the hostel in Lone Pine. What is the name of it? Do you have a phone number or website for it? Hotstick and I hope to hike the JMT in July. Thanks Jakebake

You can Google Whitney Portal Hostel . It is a really good place. New in 2009 I think. The Dow Motel is worth a visit too.
