    IX acts as a vapor barrier. Use it for an underquilt if you're hanging, but not good for a bag or top quilt.

    I made an IX UQ. Works fine in the warmer months. If you want a TQ, I'd go with the synthetic climashield or something similar. It's about the same weight as IX, but it breathes. The IX doesn't squish down as much either.
