Default Alpaca hoodiel durable enough for a thru?

I've been looking for wool sweaters and i recently found a nice warm alpaca hoodie. So my question is: is it a good choice to bring with me? Is it durable enough? I've been told it wicks moisture better than wool but dries really slow when wet.

I'm also bringing a fleece and that together I think should be enough for warmth after base layers and with a jacket... will it?

Leave it at home. Yes, wool works even when wet, but it's weight mutliplies when its wet.
