Thread: Johnson Update

    Default Johnson Update

PO has been open since right after the spring flooding....and right next door Sudsy's (laundry) has reopened.

Still no word on a store taking the place of Grand Union. There has been talk of a Shaws, Hannifords or Mac's Market opening in Jeffersonville at the intersection of VT routes 15 & 108 (about 6.5 miles west of the LT parking lot in Johnson), but have been hearing that for years.

There was rumors of thru hiker supplies at Johnson Farm and Garden on VT Route 15 a short walk east of the LT. Stopped in there last month and wasn't seeing anything other than packs, snowshoes, HEET and white gas....but it also wasn't hiking season. Not much in the way of resupply food either and couldn't find anyone that knew what they carried for hiker supplies during the season. So they're still up in the air.

Sweet Hollow Herbs was carrying a limited assortment of bulk organics, but many herbal/homeopathic stuff and heard thru the grapevine that the owner is planning on closing up shop.

So as of right now it's still a hitch to Morrisville or getting by with a Jolley mart gas station resupply in Johnson.

    Good luck.

Forgot to mention DJs Deli/General Store at the intersection of VT Routes 15 & 100C. It's got a little more now than when Grand Union was open, but it is still a small store.

Sweet Hollow herbs is officially gone. For Sale/Lease sign in the window.
