    Default Georgia hiker

    Planning on an AT excursion march 2013 and looking for hiking partners to do some pre AT backpacking in my area. Looking at any time between now and July. I'm currently in Atlanta and wouldn't mind going to adjacent states. I like long walks on the beach and fancy restaurants, my turn offs include...

    I am also planning on leaving for the thru hike in either march or april of 2013. I am always looking for someone to do some hiking with. I live around Athens ga so anytime youre looking for a hiking partner let me know!

    Are there any good trails around Athens...I have many friends there and would love to go outdoors in that area, I usually have Monday-tuesday off work if you want to explore

    There are not really places to "hike" in Athens. There are a couple parks around to do some nature walks, but the closest place to actually hike is Helen.

    What about the greenway, OCNF, skull shoals area, and so on. There are plenty of places to get away
