    Question Down Quilt Construction

Does someone have some close up pictures of their down quilt project in progress? I am interested in the baffle construction.
I am wondering why the use of the no-see-um netting.
Why isn't the top and bottom of the quilt just sewn into pockets and stuffed?

The pictures continue on page 6.

Question: I am wondering why the use of the no-see-um netting?

Answer: I use silk, it is lighter in weight and (I) think it compresses smaller.

Question: Why isn't the top and bottom of the quilt just sewn into pockets and stuffed?

Answer: Down is very hard to control and can make a very big mess in a hurry. The baffles gives you a high degree of control over the down and where it stays.
I have put my reply in the above "Quote" box with the questions asked.
