    Default Down Jacket Needed?

    I am section hiking the AT in the Smokies from the 10-15 of this month...should I bring my super light Mont-Bell down jacket for camp?

    I would rather have it and not need it that freeze my @$$ off wishing my down jacket that weights nothing was in my bag

    never carried one. don't own one. i do have a mountain hardware micro fleece i carry.
    I'm so confused, I'm not sure if I lost my horse or found a rope.

    I ended up buying a 100 wt. "Lake of the Clouds" fleece pullover in the Whites and really liked it. I lost so much body fat by then I was cold every night.

    Check the weather beforehand. I'd take some type of insulated jacket though.
