Default Length of Trail in 2013

Obviously, the AT keeps getting longer. Does anyone know if the trail will still be 2,184 miles in 2013?

I'm guessing no one will know that for sure until hurricane season is over.

i do believe more of the re-route on bear mountain is still to be opened so that alone will change the length by next year, even if only slightly. i doubt its ever been the same 2 years in a row, least not since anyone was keeping any sort of close track of it.

It is what it is, until the 2013 AT Data Book comes out.

The demo trail near Hessian Lake, which will be finished soon, will slightly lengthen the AT; the major relocation on the upper east (trail north) face may actually shorten it slightly.
