The 18 miler was between Mt. Race in Massachusetts and Tom Leonard Lean-to. It was done in the dead of summer and wasn't intentional, we left without adequate water purification and even though there was plenty of water it was all flowing directly out of livestock fields. We ran out of water about 5 miles short of the shelter and were nauseous and not thinking straight from dehydration when we we got to the lean-to at about 11:00PM, then I had the privilege of hiking the steep .25 mile side trail to the stream to refill. Best tasting water I've ever had.
Why would I ever want to bite a snake, and what kind of kit would I need in order to do so?
We're not unfriendly, we just have a different version of friendly. I just got back from a trip to rural Georgia and it scared the heck out of me that people were being genuinely friendly. Each time they smiled and said hello, the Manhattanite in me wanted to know what their agenda was.
Drop dead brilliant! Maybe I could get a scooter company to sponsor me, then I could get the trail name Jazzy.
Depends on whether I can con someone into supporting me.
This is whiteblaze, always feel free to round up when stating distances hiked. I think that you are able to round a 19.8 mile trip up to 23 miles when posting on the internet.
Colorless green ideas sleep furiously.
