    ....don't count on it. Their sales have steadily risen over the last few years.

    Give it some time...between 2003 and 2005 a lot of people started unloading their stashes from Y2K. When people start dumping this stuff the first people they'll think to pawn it off on will be the people they know who are hikers. It won't matter that the shelf life is longer than that, they'll just see this stuff that's been sitting taking up space for 3 years or so and perceive no immediate threat and decide to get rid of it.
