    Default Pittsbug, NH Hiking suggestions? 6/10-6/17 2012

    I am spending next week in Pittsburg, NH on a fishing trip and was looking for a day hike suggestion to a great view) in less than a 10 mile round trip?

    Mt Magaloway fire tower is in pittsburg. Mt Monadnock VT is a great hike to a fire tower, it is just across the river from colebrook nh. Dixville Notch a little east has some really good trails as well. The view from table rock is amazing and can is easily accessed, this is a north country classic. North Percy peak further south is east of groveton and is a spectacular bald summit with ecellent views south to the heart of the whites though is a bit of a drive from pittsburg. The CT website has a decent north country day hike section. If you feel like laying out some dough for exceptional post hike food and atmosphere the rainbow grill at Tall Timbers lodge right in pittsburg is awesome.

    there is new hiking gude for the north country of NH, It just came out so it may be too late for your trip.
